For added versatility, our popular Antifrost option is available. This upgrade includes a water treatment system, an electric heater, and a sleek storage box positioned beside the hot tub. The Antifrost system helps keep the water cleaner for longer, allows electric heating, and ensures the tub remains frost-free during colder winter conditions.
Yes ! Bauqua Tubs are engineered for reliable year-round use in Nordic climates. The optional Antifrost system helps protect the water from freezing by maintaining a stable temperature during colder periods.
For optimal winter performance, the antifrost system should remain active when the tub contains water. As with any water-based system, proper winter use and maintenance are essential to prevent freezing in pipes during extended periods of inactivity.
If you choose the Antifrost & Filtration system and follow our simple care guidelines, the same water can be used for up to 1 month. To maintain the best water quality, everyone should shower before bathing, and chlorine or active oxygen should be added regularly.
If the hot tub is used without a water treatment system, we recommend changing the water after every use or at least every 1–3 days to maintain hygiene, as well as to protect the product’s quality and long-term durability
Heating time varies depending on the outdoor conditions and the initial temperature of the water. The water can be heated from approximately 5 °C to 39 °C in about 2-2.5 hours for the 200 tub models and around 3-3.5 hours for the 225 models.
Our wood-fired hot tub is equipped with a self-circulating stove, allowing it to operate entirely without electricity both for heating and water circulation.
To use additional features such as the air bubble and hydromassage functions, LED lighting, and the Antifrost system, an electrical connection is required. This requires a 230 V single-phase power supply with a 16-amp fuse. The hot tub is delivered with two separate plugs: one for the hot tub itself and one dedicated to the Antifrost function.
There are several suitable ways to install a hot tub, with wooden decking and stone slabs being the most common options. A simple and sturdy foundation can be made by first laying a compacted gravel base, followed by stone slabs to create an even and level surface.
Most importantly, the chosen location must be stable, level, and capable of supporting the combined weight of the hot tub, the water, and its users. If you are unsure about the surface or placement, please feel free to contact us we are always happy to assist and offer guidance.
We recommend rinsing the hot tub with clean water or using a mild cleaning agent each time it is emptied. This helps keep the tub fresh and ready for the next use.
To preserve the original luster of the wooden panels as they were at delivery, we recommend treating the wood with a standard wood oil when needed.
If your hot tub is equipped with the Antifrost function, it is advisable to clean the filter in the water treatment system after every water change, or at least once every six months.
