Before delivery — site preparation
Base requirements
The hot tub must be installed on a solid, level, load-bearing, and stable surface capable of supporting its full weight when filled.
Recommended base options
We recommend installing your hot tub on a reinforced concrete slab with a minimum thickness of 100–150 mm. The slab must be fully cured before installation and level within ±10 mm across the entire footprint.
Reinforced structural wood decking may also be suitable, provided it is properly engineered to support the total filled weight of the hot tub, including water and bathers. If there is any uncertainty regarding load capacity, the structure should be assessed by a qualified professional.
Professional hot-tub base panels designed specifically for high-load outdoor installations can also be used.
When filled with water, your hot tub may weigh approximately 1,400–2,000 kg, depending on the model and water volume. If you are unsure whether your chosen surface can support this weight, we strongly recommend consulting a builder or structural specialist before installation.
Improper support may void the warranty, cause structural damage, and result in unsafe operation.
Location & clearance
Choose a location that provides at least 50 cm of clearance around the hot tub to allow for ventilation and maintenance access. The chimney must have clear vertical space above it, free from overhangs or obstructions.
Ensure the tub is positioned at a safe distance from walls, fences, and any combustible materials. Proper airflow around the stove and chimney is essential for safe operation.
Avoid installing the hot tub directly beneath low roofs, dense tree cover, or inside enclosed structures unless adequate ventilation is ensured.
Delivery access
Before placing your order, please ensure that the installation location is accessible for delivery. There should be sufficient gate and pathway width, a clear route from the unloading point to the final installation area, and no overhead obstructions that could interfere with handling.
The ground between the unloading point and the installation area should be stable and suitable for pallet transport.
If a crane, forklift, or other specialised equipment is required due to restricted access, this must be arranged in advance and may involve additional cost.
- Base is level, cured, and load-rated for 2,000 kg+
- 50 cm clearance on all sides confirmed
- Gate and pathway wide enough for pallet transport
- No overhead obstructions on delivery route
- Responsible adult available on delivery day
- Crane or forklift arranged (if required)
Delivery & positioning
On the day of delivery, carefully inspect the packaging before signing for the shipment. Any visible transport damage should be reported immediately.
Ensure a responsible adult is present to receive the product and confirm its condition.
Once delivered, position the hot tub carefully onto the prepared base. The unit must sit evenly and securely without rocking or twisting.
Chimney & drink table installation
Chimney assembly
A correctly aligned chimney improves draft performance and prevents smoke leakage. Follow each step in order.
- Install the chimney elbow Insert the chimney elbow fully into the stove outlet. Push it in until it firmly touches the metal stove. The elbow must sit completely flush against the stove to ensure proper sealing and safe operation.
- Secure the chimney holder Position the chimney holder and align it horizontally with the heat protection shield (chimney guard). Ensure the mounting holes of the holder align with the pre-drilled holes in the heat protection. Secure the holder using the two provided screws — tighten firmly to prevent movement.
- Assemble the chimney sections Connect the chimney pipe sections securely. Ensure each section fits tightly and sits straight. All connections must be properly aligned, fully inserted, stable, and secured.
- Attach the rain cap Install the rain cap on top of the final chimney section as provided. The rain cap protects the chimney from rain and debris and helps maintain proper airflow — make sure it is firmly secured.
Drink table
The drink table is mounted using four screws. The screw locations are pre-drilled inside the table holder.
- Choose the location Position the drink table anywhere around the tub that suits your preference and access.
- Mount the table Insert the four screws into the pre-drilled holes. Make sure the table sits level and tighten all screws securely.
Electrical installation
Your hot tub includes electrical components such as the hydromassage system, air bubble massage system, and LED lighting. It is supplied with a 3-metre power cable and standard 230 V plug.
Connect only to a weatherproof outdoor socket (IP44 or higher) protected by a 30 mA RCD (residual current device / GFCI), in accordance with local electrical regulations.
Where required by national law, electrical installation must be carried out or verified by a qualified electrician. Never connect a damaged cable, and never run the cable through standing water.
Optional systems — antifrost & filtration
If your hot tub includes an antifrost system or filtration unit, follow the specific electrical and operating instructions provided with those components.
Before switching on any electrical system, confirm that connections are secure and water circulation is functioning correctly. Operate the filtration system according to the recommended maintenance schedule.
Filling the tub
- Close the drain valve Before lighting the stove for the first time, make sure the drain valve is fully closed.
- Fill with clean water Fill the tub to the recommended level and inspect for any visible leaks.
- Verify submersion Make sure every nozzle and hole inside the tub is fully submerged in water before proceeding.
Never light the stove unless the tub is filled with water. Operating the stove without water will damage the stove and fibreglass insert, and will void the warranty.
First heating procedure
- Use only dry, untreated firewood.
- Begin with a small fire and gradually increase intensity.
- Monitor the water temperature during heating and avoid exceeding the recommended maximum.
- Every 15–30 minutes, mix the water so the temperature spreads evenly — run the hydromassage system for a few minutes to circulate.
- Heating time typically ranges between 1.5 and 3 hours, depending on weather conditions and water volume.
The stove must never be left unattended while actively heating. An adult must be present and supervising at all times.
Drainage
When draining the hot tub, allow the water to cool completely before opening the drain outlet. Before draining, make sure the stove is fully extinguished, completely cold, and free of any embers.
Failure to fully extinguish the stove before draining may cause serious damage to the stove and fibreglass insert, and will void the warranty.
Direct the water to an appropriate drainage area. Avoid draining hot water directly onto delicate surfaces, plants, or grass.
Maintenance after installation
To maintain performance and longevity:
- Keep the insulated lid on when not in use.
- Maintain the exterior wood according to care instructions.
- Clean the stove regularly.
- Inspect chimney connections periodically.
- Check seals annually.
Natural changes in wood colour and appearance over time are normal and do not affect structural performance.
Safety guidelines
Always operate the hot tub responsibly.
- Never use the stove without water inside the tub.
- Children should never use the hot tub unsupervised.
- Use caution when entering and exiting — surfaces may become slippery or hot.
- While the stove is burning, it must always be supervised.
Warranty notice
Warranty coverage applies only when:
- The installation platform meets the required specifications.
- Installation instructions are followed.
- The stove is operated according to the manual.
Improper installation, modification, or misuse may void warranty coverage. Refer to your full warranty terms for complete details.
