Section 01

Getting started

What is included in the purchase?

Everything you need to start using it immediately: a fast-heating integrated wood-fired stove, an insulated cover, a comfortable set of steps, a side table, a protective flue cover, a rain cap, and ambient underwater LED lighting. The Amber series adds a full massage system (hydromassage and air-bubble) plus a large fire-viewing window; the Nordic series is a streamlined alternative with the air-bubble massage. Every component is chosen to deliver a complete bathing experience out of the box.

What's the difference between the Amber and Nordic series?

Both series share the same build quality and tub sizes (200 and 225 cm).

  • Amber — the premium option: full massage (hydromassage + air bubble) and a large fire-viewing window.
  • Nordic — a simplified, lower-cost alternative (around €500 less) with a compact, efficient stove and air-bubble massage, in a fixed configuration with no setup decisions.

Choose Amber for the fullest experience, or Nordic for essential performance at a better price.

Can you make a custom model?

Yes — in many cases. Depending on the model, we can adapt details such as size, finish, accessories, or technical features to suit your preferences, and you can start from our online Custom Build configurator. Share your requirements and our team will advise on what's possible.

How many people does the tub seat?

The 200 comfortably seats 2–4 adults (6 maximum), and the 225 seats 4–6 adults (8 maximum). The larger 225 gives more room per person and is the better choice for hosting.

Where do you ship, and is delivery free?

Yes — free shipping to most EU countries.

Tubs ship direct from our workshop in Lithuania, fully assembled, and are usually dispatched within about a week of your order. For countries we don't currently cover, or deliveries outside the EU, contact us for a quote. Before ordering, please check that the installation site is accessible for delivery — sufficient gate and pathway width, and no overhead obstructions on the route.

Section 02

Heating & use

Can I use the tub all year round?

Yes, absolutely.

Bauqua tubs are designed for year-round use. With the antifrost function, you can keep the water frost-free through winter using the electric heater combined with the water treatment system.

How long does it take to heat the water?

Heating time depends on outdoor conditions and the starting water temperature. From cold, expect about 2–2.5 hours for the 200 and 3–3.5 hours for the 225. For the best experience, heat the water to around 38–39 °C.

What firewood should I use, and any first-heating tips?

Use only dry, untreated firewood. Start with a small fire and build it up gradually, and stir the water every 15–30 minutes (running the massage system for a few minutes circulates the heat evenly). A full heat-up uses roughly 20–30 kg of wood for the 200 and 35–45 kg for the 225.

🔥
Never light the stove unless the tub is filled with water, and never leave it unattended while burning. Running the stove dry will damage the stove and fibreglass insert and void the warranty.
Section 03

Installation & placement

Do you deliver the hot tub fully assembled?

Yes.

Your hot tub arrives fully assembled and ready for installation. The stove and tub structure are pre-installed. You'll only need to:

  • Position the tub on the prepared base
  • Install the chimney sections
  • Connect the electrical components
  • Install the drink table and assemble the stairs

We don't offer a paid installation service, but these final steps are straightforward and the Installation Guide walks you through each one.

What preparations are required before placement?

The tub must sit on a solid, level, load-bearing surface. Common options are a reinforced concrete slab or properly engineered structural decking.

Filled Weight
1,400–2,000 kg
Varies by model & water volume
Slab Thickness
100–150 mm
Reinforced, fully cured
Level Tolerance
±10 mm
Across full footprint
Clearance
50 cm min
Around full perimeter
Weight consideration. If you're unsure your surface can support a filled tub, consult a builder or structural specialist first. Improper support may void the warranty.
How much space do I need around the tub?

A minimum of 50 cm clearance around the tub for access, ventilation, and maintenance. The chimney needs clear vertical space above it, and you should keep comfortable access to the stove door, chimney, and drainage outlet.

Can I install the tub on a wooden terrace?

Yes — only if the terrace is structurally engineered to support the total filled weight (approximately 1,400–2,000 kg). The structure must be reinforced, load distribution properly calculated, and the surface level and stable. If unsure, consult a specialist before installation.

Can the stairs and drink table go on either side?

Yes.

Both can be positioned to suit your layout and available space, so you can adapt the setup to your terrace or garden for optimal comfort and access.

Section 04

Water & care

How much water does the tub hold?

Filled to the recommended level, the 200 holds about 1,100 litres and the 225 about 1,400 litres.

How often do you change the water?

With the antifrost function and a water treatment system, and following the care guidelines, the same water typically lasts 2–3 weeks — and up to a month with diligent treatment. Everyone should shower before bathing, and chlorine or active oxygen should be added regularly.

Without a treatment system, change the water after every use, or at least every 1–3 days, to maintain hygiene and protect durability.

Can I use chemicals in the water?

Yes — water treatment is optional. If you use it, we recommend active oxygen or chlorine, deliberately dosed for approximately 500 litres rather than the tub's full capacity. This keeps the water hygienic while avoiding the over-concentration that can damage components. Always follow dosage instructions, test regularly, and rinse periodically with fresh water.

Excessive chemical use may damage components and is not covered under warranty. If unsure, our support team is happy to advise.
Is the hot tub safe for children?

Children should never use the hot tub unsupervised. Take care entering and exiting, as surfaces can become hot or slippery, and while the stove is burning it must always be supervised by an adult. The stove exterior and chimney also get hot during use — keep children clear of them.

Section 05

Power & electrical

Does the tub work without electricity?

Yes.

All Bauqua tubs are fully functional without electricity using the wood-fired stove — heating, natural-convection circulation, and stove operation need no power. Electricity is only required for the antifrost & filtration system, LED lighting, and the massage systems. This makes the tub reliable even off-grid.

What electrical installation is required?

The stove is self-circulating, so heating and circulation need no power. The optional systems require a connection with the following specification:

Voltage
230 V
Single-phase
Fuse Rating
16 A
Dedicated circuit
Cable Length
3 metres
Tub to socket
Socket Rating
IP44 min
Weather-protected
Electrical safety. Connect only to a weatherproof outdoor socket protected by a 30 mA RCD/GFCI, per local regulations. The tub ships with a single plug; if you add the antifrost system, it comes with its own additional plug.
Section 06

Warranty & support

What does the warranty cover?

A 2-year warranty is included. It covers the structural integrity of the tub, the stainless steel stove system, and manufacturing defects under normal residential use — when the tub is installed on a proper load-bearing base, instructions are followed, and the stove is operated per the manual. It does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, neglect, or natural wear of wood over time. The standard term is two years, with no paid extension available — see our Warranty Policy page for full details.

How long will the hot tub last?

Bauqua tubs are built for long-term outdoor use — a marine-grade AISI 316 stainless steel stove with cast iron doors, an AISI 304 stainless steel structure that resists rot and decay, a fibreglass insert 50% thicker than standard, and reinforced construction. With proper care, your tub can provide many years of reliable use. Natural aging of the exterior wood is normal and does not affect structural performance.

Are replacement parts available?

Yes.

We provide replacement parts for key components — stove parts, chimney sections, fittings, and optional systems. Contact support with your model information and order number. We're committed to long-term product support.
